ART Miniature orig. Painting on Carved Ceramic entitled "GOOD SHALE" ~ showing Shale Oil or Gas production field; drilling through the Earth's surface and various layers to reach the oil/gas rich shale.
This is One of a Kind piece and is signed. The signature looks like "Greer" but it is difficult to decipher. It is a disk of pottery/clay/ceramic that was carved, then painted and fired. Mounted on leather suede inside a wood frame with "Good Shale" handwritten. You can see the thickness and different layers from the side in photo 12. Size of the artwork is 2.5"; size of frame is 5" x 5".
A very fine piece from my collection of oil & gas collectibles accumulated over the years from estates in Tulsa, OK when Tulsa was known as the Oil Capital of the World. This is perfect and is ready to hang.
