Events Coordinator
Location: Cape Canaveral / Orlando, FL area
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to support the company's launch operations. This role will manage guest logistics, security clearance processes, and on-site event execution for high-profile launches.
Key Responsibilities:
· Coordinate end-to-end event planning and execution for the launches.
· Manage complex guest registration and security clearance processes for US and international VIPs, planning for and adhering to strict deadlines
· Develop and maintain detailed workback schedules
· Liaise with multiple launch providers for security and facility access
· Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless event execution
· Provide on-site event support, including hospitality and real-time problem solving
· Maintain clear communication with the Central Events team on all launch-related activities
· Manage timely and effective communications to keep internal stakeholders informed of launch related activities
Required Qualifications:
· Must be a US Person
· 5+ years of experience in event planning and execution
· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
· Experience working with executive-level customers
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
· Proven track record of problem-solving and process improvement
· Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Smartsheet
· Background in managing high-security or regulated events
· Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and vendors
· History of successful large-scale corporate event execution
Physical Requirements:
· May require lifting and moving of materials
· Local travel to event sites required
This is a full-time, 6-month contract position based in the Cape Canaveral area, with frequent on-site work at CCSFS.
