Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Engineer to support facility, process, and packaging initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and will focus on project execution in areas such as equipment installation, utilities infrastructure, production line optimization, and safety improvements. The Project Engineer will collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver projects that drive operational efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite engineering representative during facility construction, working with corporate engineering, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Oversee installation and startup of production and packaging equipment.
• Provide technical support during commissioning and ramp-up to ensure efficient, reliable operations.
• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot systems and implement performance improvements.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency gains, and safety/quality enhancements.
• Manage capital projects from design through implementation, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (equivalent experience considered).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in food manufacturing, CPG, or similar process industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing capital projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Knowledge of food-grade equipment design and sanitary manufacturing practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel 510% to vendor sites and company locations.
