Work hours: 40 hours per week
A Security Assistant is required to provide Naval Health Clinic Hawaii security administrative support services to include tracking, administering, and processing security requests, file management, preparing forms/reports, and providing administrative support for security administrative programs for the office.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
-The Security Assistant shall provide assistance in the processing of daily local agency checks, visit requests and security clearance issues in support of Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). Provide information to personnel in a timely-manner and ensure documents are thoroughly checked for accuracy and completeness.
-The Security Assistant shall maintain Security Clearance folders daily and ensure that all correspondence from Office of Personnel Management is filed and acted upon appropriately.
-The Security Assistant shall maintain a current listing of all command members that have active Security Clearances on a daily basis.
-The Security Assistant shall provide daily assistance in processing Common Access Card request and prepare and process Base Access Requests for visitors.
-The Security Assistant shall ensure all daily tasks are to be completed using JPAS and Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (eQip), to extent allowed.
-Security Assistant must have experience with fingerprinting equipment, JPAS, and other automated security systems.
-The Security Assistant shall attend all mandatory training such as monthly process improvement meetings, safety stand-downs, annual IT systems upgrade training, and command Annual Training.
-The Security Assistant shall establish a full understanding of the creation and distribution of the local Command Badging System and be able to fabricate and program such badges as necessary for members checking in and out of the command.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
-Security Assistant personnel must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of one year of general office experience, a minimum of one year of experience with Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS)/Defense Information System for Security (DISS), and a minimum of six months' experience with Microsoft Office and database automation software functions.
-Shall read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently and maintain good communication skills with patients and other health care personnel.
-Shall be in good standing and under no sanction or suspension by the Federal Government.
-Shall possess and maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare Providers. Web based classes do not meet these standards. Certification Card must display the American Heart Association or Military Training Network Emblem.
