This position supports increased census, client housing retention, and long-term stability by bridging relationships between youth, landlords, property managers, and housing authorities. The Housing Navigator ensures that clients are matched with appropriate housing resources and provides ongoing, trauma-informed support to help youth build self-sufficiency and thrive in independent living.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Attend lease signings and housing interviews to support participants and ensure lease terms are clearly understood.

  • Educate participants on tenant rights, lease obligations, and maintaining positive landlord relationships.
  • Build and maintain a network of landlords, property managers, and housing partners.
  • Advocate for youth with housing barriers (e.g., credit issues, evictions) and identify housing opportunities that accommodate their needs.
  • Serve as liaison between landlords, youth, and case managers to resolve conflicts and promote housing retention.
  • Connect participants to resources and community agencies for housing-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in HMIS and other program-required systems.
  • Complete annual recertifications and eligibility reassessments as required by program contracts.
  • Track housing availability, placement outcomes, and subsidy utilization to ensure contract compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with THP case managers, program leadership, finance, and housing funders.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, supervision, and training to support best practices.
  • Represent Crittenton in housing-related meetings and external housing authority discussions as needed.
  • Support data collection and outcome reporting for grant and contract requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.
