A partnership between Potential Enhancement Foundation (PEF) and Powering Potential

The Karatu District Program (KDP) is a three-year initiative providing solar-powered computer laboratories and internet connectivity to 23 public schools across Karatu District.

The program aims to give students and teachers access to computers, online learning resources, e-books, digital research, and essential 21st-century digital skills, helping bridge the digital divide and ensure that no child is left behind.

  17. Awet.

More schools will be connected as the program continues toward its 23-school target by the end of 2026.

Training

After each installation, teachers and students receive hands-on training covering:

  • Basic computer skills and typing
  • Internet safety and responsible use
  • Online learning platforms and e-resources
  • Digital tools for effective teaching

Through KDP, Potential Enhancement Foundation (PEF) and Powering Potential are powering schools, connecting communities, and preparing young people for the digital future.
