Supporting students and teachers
At Qurus, students preparing for national examinations used the computer laboratory and internet connection to access past examination papers. School communities supported delivery and setup. Teachers received initial instruction on laboratory use and solar power systems.
Branding and community engagement
PEF’s renewed visual identity connects student potential, progress, technology and renewable energy through a blue “P,” a green upward arrow and a yellow sun. PEF also strengthened Facebook communication with regular school updates, photographs, videos, engaging posts and page boosting.
Management participated in the Karatu District and Arusha Regional NGO forums. Follow-up from the Q2 Executive Council review includes strategic planning, integrating monitoring and evaluation into routine program work, and stronger outreach.
October 2026 priorities
The Q3 report records funding received for three remaining schools, with installation planned for October 2026. Priorities include classroom readiness, delivery, solar and electrical work, connectivity and handover. Participation in the NACONGO national NGO forum in Dodoma was also planned for October. These are reported plans; completion will be confirmed in a subsequent update.
